Friday 20/05/2011-.Today in the weekly march in Bil'in organized by the Popular Committee Against the Wall with the participation of Sa'di Tameezi, the Palestinian ambassador to Vietnam, two young men were injured, and dozens of people suffered from the effects of tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers. Dozens of Palestinians were joined by international and Israeli activists, commemorating the martyrs who fell in the demonstrations held on the anniversary of the Nakba last week. The march began in the center of the village after Friday prayers. In the area above the wall, demonstrators raised the Palestinian flag, as well as banners inscribed with the names of villages destroyed in 1948 and pictures of the imprisoned Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti. Participants chanted nationalist slogans in favor of the right of return (the return of refugees to the land from which they were expelled).

Today, 13th of May 2011. About 200 Palestinians, Israelis and internationals marched together towards the Wall. Some had dressed up as refugees from 1948, to commemorate those who were forced from their homeland 63 years ago. Also some were carrying a large key symbolizing all those refugees who still hold the key to their homes, not being allowed to return in spite of UN resolutution 194 that clearly states that all the refugees from 1948 must be allowed back and offered compensation.

On 10th of May 2011, at 8.30 in the evening the army entered the village of Bilíin through the gate in the Eastern Wall. The soldiers shot lightening grenades before heading into the village. Two jeeps went to the house of Abdul Fattah Burnat, while a third jeep was observed waiting by the Wall. The soldiers entered and raided Abdulís house, and arrested two of his sons; Ahmed Burnat (18), Mohammed Burnat (23). Abdulís visiting brother in law Ahmed Mansour Beitillu (32), who is a resident of the nearby village of Kharbata Bani Harith was also arrested. The raid lasted for about half an hour. The three were then taken in the jeeps to the Wall. According to their lawyer Lymor Goldstein their footsteps were measured, apparently to see if they had been near the Wall. All three were released later the same night.
